Behind the lens..

Hey, my name is LLena

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the quiet poetry of life unfolding the moments we plan for, the ones we never see coming, and all the beauty that lives somewhere in between.

What began as a love for candid photography has grown into a photojournalistic approach to storytelling and a practice that genuinely nourishes my spirit. Photography, for me, is about presence. Sometimes that means quietly documenting a moment exactly as it unfolds. Other times, it means slowing down long enough to intentionally celebrate a milestone, a person, or a season of life worth remembering.

Either way, I get to press pause.

I get to notice the laughter between poses, the confidence that emerges in front of the camera, the people you love gathered in one place, and the little details you may not realize you'll miss one day.

There are incredible artists who make photography their career; for me, it’s the gift I return to again and again because, in many ways, it feels like therapy. It reminds me to pay attention—to joy and confidence, love and laughter, and yes, even grief and tears. Because all of it is part of this beautifully human experience.

Over the years, I’ve been entrusted to document birthdays, milestones, family gatherings, small-business headshots, sacred farewells, and even the tender hush of my first newborn session. Each has reminded me that photographs are more than beautiful images. They are memory keepers. Emotional time capsules. Proof that we were here—and reminders of what it felt like while we were.

So, if you’re looking for someone to honor your story with a camera, consider this your invitation. Whether we're celebrating a moment you've been waiting for or preserving one you didn't know you'd want to remember, I’d be honored to document it with warmth, intention, and an eye for the beauty that makes it yours.

Some moments are spontaneous. Some are celebrated on purpose. All of them are part of your story.
